assemblages

Assemblages are sculptural collages, which are usually mounted on a base plate. These 3-dimensional art-works have a relief-like surface.

I usually arrange found materials like bark, blossoms, fruit corps and other natural objects and bring them into a new, unique form. It is the combination of natural objects and artifical materials is what makes it so interesting for me. The individual parts form a new object with an own shape and a special character.
